Melissa – I receive an error when attempting to delete an alias from your Profile. Yahoo is aware of this problem. But I dont see this in know issues site or anywhere around here. My problem is not solved for almost 12 months which is know isssue.

I want to delete a gmail account but it says I can’t until I get rid of an alias. I go to manage aliases and the alias is there but the circle to click on and delete does not show up so that I can do this. The tutorial was of no help since I am on a dial-up connection and cannot use the video formats. All I want to do is erase an alias and I can’t do it. HELP!

I have an alias that shows up on my account information page, but when I click on manage your yahoo aliases the alias does not show up. How do I delete the alias? I used to work for a company who uses yahoo small business email, and am unable to get rid of the alias. Please help!

whenever i try to delete an alias i get this message “yahoo oops! there’s a problem We cannot delete this alias.”

it is the Yahoo! Mail Address on the account

You really need to have your design team go thru and edit this program. A good portion of the voice is cut into pieces.

Hello Melissa;
BTW: This form is (requiring) my name but does not say “never shown publicly” as on the E-mail field. Why is that? Might it possibly be shown somewhere? If so, where? If not, why not make it consistent and change it to read (required – never shown publicly) above the Name field. I wouldn’t want my name displayed anywhere without my express permission.

Now to my original concern. I would like to delete my photo and replace it with with my avatar. That info should easy to access. but have not found it yet. Your help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Anybody here who is complaining about an error received when deleting an alias (Oops! Looks like our servers are taking a break. Please try again later.) is wasting their breath. I complained about this problem last year. After receiving an automated message, I got a real person reply saying they were “updating their server” so to sit tight in the meantime. Hello hello <<>> that’s crock. I’m watching Yahoo fall apart before my eyes..the new Yahoo profile setup is ridiculous, Yahoo 360 is shutting down along with Geocities as well..what’s next? Yahoo will be no more?
The reason why I wanted to delete my alias is because of a damn stalker..I shouldn’t have to close my account entirely, or even create a new one! If the option is there to delete an ID then it should work! point blank, end of story!
